The Best Guide To Golf Cart Battery Maintenance

Most people have owned many cars in their lifetime and when a problem arises, a car mechanic is usually the first one we go to for help. With golf carts, it's different. Many people are new to golf cart ownership and don't realize that electric golf carts work very differently from cars. They also don't realize that it is quite simple to maintain your own golf cart.

We take our cars in to a local car mechanic every couple of thousand miles to have the oil changed, filters checked, tired rotated, etc. Golf carts need regular maintenance as well, but a golf cart owner can do it him/herself with some basic knowledge and understanding.

Just like regular oil changes are critical to your car, regular watering, correct charging and corrosion cleaning can prevent the vast majority of golf cart battery failure or "premature death."

For a simple investment of less than $20 I suggest you get the Electric Golf Cart Battery Guide written by Ken MacKenzie. I bought mine a long time ago and still refer to it for tips and instructions.
