A golf cart grab bar is a golf cart accessory for those who have a rear facing rear seat. It is a handle that is installed on 4 seat or 6 seater golf carts that have a rear facing back seat. It provides additional support and stability for passengers while getting on and off the golf cart or while riding.
The golf cart safety bar assists your rear seat passengers as they climb onto or off the golf cart and provides something to hang on to when going over a bumpy, rough terrain or going around a curve or corner.
In addition to using a safety grab bar rear seat passengers should be strapped in with golf cart seat belts.
This golf cart accessory can come with other features such as a place to rest your feet or beverage holders for your favorite drink.

The U-shaped golf cart safety grab bar is the most common design and mounts fully underneath the footplate. It's a strong and durable accessory that should take about 15" to install. Depending on what kit you buy you may need to take a trip to the hardware store for some extra nuts and bolts.
Designed to fit most Yamaha, Club and EZ GO golf carts, one needs to confirm if the size of the grab bar is compatible with your golf cart rear seat kit before making a purchase. No drilling is needed if the holes line up perfectly. However, some rear seats may require drilling for installation.
It will work on golf carts that have a flip down rear seat.
As you can see the safety bar does not interfere with the rear seat when it is flipped down.

Perhaps one of my favorite golf cart accessories is my golf cart grab bar with a removable golf bag rack.
The bag rack fits securely over the golf cart grab bar. When I'm done golfing I can remove my golf cart bag but keep the bag rack on the cart even when there are rear seat passengers.
However, the rack can be easily removed by lifting it off the safety grab bar.
This universal golf cart grab bar with trailer hitch fits the back seat of most EZGO, Club, and Yamaha golf carts.
It's like getting two golf cart accessories in one. Most seat kits now come with pre-drilled holes on the step for this hitch, but not all. Some modifications might need to be done.
An easy way to provide beverage holders for your rear seat passengers is to attach them to your grab bar.
Your back seat passengers will feel more secure with a rear seat golf cart grab bar and will find it easier to get in and off the cart.
